Spatula joins Bristol Photo Festival as a media partner
Spatula is pleased to be working with Bristol Photo Festival as a media partner for its third edition, Time Machine.
The festival opens on Wednesday 14 October, bringing together an ambitious programme of photography across galleries, museums and independent spaces throughout Bristol.
Our involvement has grown out of wider conversations around community, culture and the realities of making these things happen. There's often a gap between what the public sees and what it actually takes to make an event possible, particularly when it comes to funding, resources and the people whose work makes it happen.
We've been supporting the festival in communicating some of these challenges, including helping to develop its crowdfunding campaign video, alongside documenting the festival.
We believe in the importance of photography, particularly at a time when truth, information and the images we encounter are increasingly difficult to navigate. Independent programmes like Bristol Photo Festival have an important role in protecting public memory, bringing different perspectives into view and helping us better understand one another.
We're pleased to play a small part in supporting that work and the people making it possible.
Time Machine runs across Bristol until 15 November 2026.
